The winner of the Wispa Qatar Classic 2005 will be awarded $14,535 for her efforts, while the runner up will get $9,832.

The new event, which ends on November 27, will be the last event prior to the World Open that will be held in Hong Kong immediately after the conclusion of Qatar Classic 2005.

Nabil yesterday said: “We are ready to stage Qatar Classic 2005. The fans in Doha can expect top quality squash, something they have seen in the past also. Qatar continues to host this world class event because of our great reputation in squash circles.”

The QSF president added: “The players are coming to Doha after a hectic month of squash on the PSA and Wispa circuits. Thankfully we don’t have any pull-outs or major injuries to any of the players who will compete here.”
