Learning curve
On the rostrum three girls. Pardon, woman. three different athletes. the one on the left had so far won nothing. the one in the middle won only in the last three years at the worlds: bronze at WCi 2008, gold in WCi 2010 and now gold. The one on the right has won all the medals in the last decade but one: no olympic gold. Here is the rostrum of the women pole vault in Daegue for the WC in Athletics: Martina Strutz, Fabiana Murer and Svetlana Feofanova.
Respectively 29, 30 and 31 years old. That takes a lot of work effort, training ethic and discipline to achieve this at their age I would say. Strutz is struggling with injuries and body fat and changed coach again last year. Feofanova is passed by the glamourous Tsarin of the dsicpline Isenbayeva. And Murer is neither know for here good looks (the other female athletes here in Brazil laugh behind her back because het cross eyes and funne ears) nor her remarkable quotes.
But in this artistic event where gymnastics and athletism meet, their learning curve has no end. They will aim high again for next years Olympics.
