Lijn 4

A Linha 4 do Metrô fez a sua viagem inaugural nesta quinta-feira, transportando pessoas que trabalharam na construção da nova linha por estações como Jardim de Alah, no Leblon, Jardim Oceânico e Barra. Estes primeiros passageiros integraram o grupo de cerca de 30 mil profissionais envolvidos na construção, segundo os consórcios Construtor Rio Barra e Linha 4 Sul. O serviço será aberto ao público neste sábado.
A Linha 4 vai transportar, de acordo com a demanda estimada, mais de 300 mil pessoas por dia. A expectativa é retirar das ruas cerca de 2 mil veículos por hora/pico. É considerado um dos maiores legados em mobilidade que o Rio de Janeiro ganhará com os Jogos Olímpicos.

Jawel, de lijn is getrokken en ingevuld. Nu dus ook operationeel. Het moet nog officieel in gebruik genomen worden maar het lijkt er op dat het allemaal voor de  OS gaat lukken. Dus vanaf General Osorio tot het einde van Leblon station Jardim Oceânico.

The travel time varies mainly due to the waiting time encountered when transferring from the metro 4 line and the bus rapid transit (BRT). Still, the service is a welcome alternative to the traffic encountered between the neighborhoods of Ipanema and Barra.
The 30.8 km route traveled via metro line 4 and the special BRT line (exclusive bus route from the Jardim Oceânico station to the Olympic Park ) took 41 minutes. More than the promised 37.
There is also the trip from the metro platform to the station, which took about 2 minutes.
Passengers must pay attention when transferring from the metro line to the BRT. Entrance is not via a turnstile but a door that slides open and shuts quickly and firmly. The reporter's leg was hit hard by the door.
