Carlos Monge (b. 1947) lives between Mexico and Spain. He graduated in film studies (1979) before pursuing sculpture with an undergraduate in Sculpture at Secure Social Institute, México D.F. (1983). Monge is the Mexican and Spanish representative of the International Association for Monumental Sculpture Events (AIESM). The main objective of his work is to go beyond the creation and realization of a sculpture as a simple art object. It is a permanent reflection, as a way of weaving art and life, with which to give meaning to specific sites and expand discussion scenarios from the perspective of the multiple cultural, ecological, and economic practices existing in different parts of the world.....
