Nog eentje….de laatste … wel de nieuwste

And just like that, she’s here: Cobra Coral. Beautiful and creatively designed by Rafaela Iannone | LUNAWI .

In the medicine circles, I’ve met her before. In my visions they are crossing my path during ceremonies, showing up at the edge of the jungle, watching, waiting, knowing. They don’t scare me. They give me energy. They remind me: you are being guided.

In the Amazon, rivers are snakes — winding, ancient, carrying the medicine of the earth from the mountains to the sea. The Cobra Coral carries that same memory: red for the fire of transformation (Exu’s spark), yellow for the gold of the divine (Oxum’s light), black for the ancestral mystery that holds it all together.

On my foot, her head rests at the ground — the most humble, earth-touching part of me. She faces the world, not me. She clears the path before every step. She speaks from the soil, from the crossroads, from the firmeza of the ground. In Umbanda and Candomblé, the feet salute the earth. Now mine are blessed.

The left leg is feminino — the side that receives.

When I sit in ceremony and look down, I’ll see her. Not staring back at me — but looking for me. Ahead of me. Ready.

This isn’t a tattoo. It’s a pact. A guardian. A little cobra that lives where the earth meets my skin.

Head down.

Left side.

Tri-color.

Axé.
