250 years athletics in Rio

In June 1938 the FARJ was created: Federação de Atletismo do Estado Rio de Janeiro, in which the famous clubs joined forces:
• América F.C.
• Botafogo F.R.
• C.R. Flamengo
• C.R. Vasco da Gama
• Fluminense F.C
In August 2016 Athletics, as part of the Olympic Games will not be at the Maracana complex but in a refurbished stadium Engenhao. Also the stage for the Pan_Am gems from 2007 in Rio.
Há exatos 250 anos, nasceu o Atletismo na Cidade do Rio de Janeiro, no ano de 1865.Today we celebrated the anniversary of athletics in Rio de Janeiro. since 1865 there are competition here. the development of tracks from, sand to dirt, to gravel to synthetic marks a long tradition at different places Fluminense F.C. - 330 m; C.R.Vasco da Gama - 450 m; EsEFEx - 500m.
