DOHA (Safaa Al Hurmozi) July 02, 2007 – The delegation of Qatar Junior (Boys and Girls) National Athletics Teams returned from Syria after participation at the second Arab Championship held in Damascus for the duration from 27 to 29 June 2007.
Qatar Junior (Boys) National Team occupied the 6th place at the competition that witnessed the participation of 14 Arab National Team, after seizing 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal and 3 Bronze Medals.
The Qatari Medals:-
- Gebreal Rahma - Gold Medal of 10,000 m walking competition
- Sulaiman Ahmad Al Manai – Silver Medal of high jump competition
- Mohammad Rashid Al Manai- Bronze Medal of Pole vault competition
- Moaz Abdulrahman – Bronze Medal 2,000 m walking competition
- Udai Ammer Ahmad- Bronze Medal of Hammer throw Competition
As for Qatar Junior (Girls) National Team, they did not achieved good result as they recently started to participate at abroad events.
Amina Arif Al Malki and Moza Ali Moarij participated at 100 m competition while Sheikh Ali Yaqoub and Moza Ali Moarij participated at high Jump competition
