To the south of the city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia lies the Lake Park Namar Dam. It is named so because of its two-kilometer-long Namar Valley dam, which is about 20 meters deep and has an area of 200,000 square meters. It is one of the most famous new tourist attractions of Riyadh


Saudi Arabia does not have any permanent rivers, but does have numerous wadis (valleys) which are riverbeds that are either permanently or intermittently dry.
Wadi (Arabicوَادِيromanized: wādī), alternatively wād (Arabicوَاد), Maghrebi Arabic Oued, is the Arabic term traditionally referring to a river valley. In some instances, it may refer to a wet (ephemeralriverbed that contains water only when heavy rain occurs.
