Angelina Topić took a record-breaking win, clearing 2.00m for the first itme to win at the 32nd Tipos Banskobystricka latka, a World Indoor Tour Silver meet, while Jan Stefela won the men’s event with a world lead


Jamaica’s Lamara Distin took second with a season’s best of 1.96m, but the second stand out star of the women’s competition came from Sweden’s Louise Ekman in third place.

The 28-year-old jumped an incredible three PB’s improving her best from 1.91m from 24 January to 1.96m to the disbelief of herself and her coach – she has added 9cm to her PB this year alone.


Australia’s Eleanor Patterson, 2022 World Champion and 2024 Olympic bronze medallist, cleared just 1.94m for fourth.

Fatoumata Balley, Lilianna Batori, Marija Vukovic, and Imke Onnen all cleared 1.90m While Elena Kulichenko, Britt Weerman, and Dacsy Adelina Brison all jumped 1.85m
