Doha • Heavy rains, accompanied by strong south-easterly chilly wind, yesterday turned the city’s weather into frozen stiff. The minimum temperature dipped to a record 10 degree Celsius. Residents said they had never witnessed such a heavy rain during the last four decades.

Qatar received 20.1 mm rain, the season’s record high, during the last two days. Al Ruwais in Northern Qatar recorded the highest rainfall — 44.6 mm, followed by Rawdat El Faras at 24.4 mm. The MET office forecast a further fall in temperature today. The maximum is expected to go down to 15 degree Celsius, while the minimum will fall to 9 degree Celsius.

gelukkig is de weersverwachting voor de komende dagen normaal: lekker 20+ en een zonnetje.
