Doha, February 15, 2008 ( Mossa Abdullah) - Qatar athletics team have clinched two medals on the first day of the third edition of Asian Indoor Athletics Championship which gb egan on Thursday at Aspire. The tournament will conclude on February 16.



On the first day's evening competitions, the Qatar's sprinter Francis Samuel secured gold medal in 60 m competition and recorded 6.62 minutes, while his compatriot Al Mannai Rashid clinched bronze medal in high jump competition and recorded no. 2.18 m.
