1. With another championship record, another world youth best and her second gold medal of the week, Candace Hill from Georgia (USA) became the star of the IAAF World Youth Championships, Cali 2015 .
3. In the boys’ decathlon, Germany’s Niklas Kaul overcame a near-fatal blow to his title hopes in the 110m hurdles after smashing the first barrier and trailing home seventh in 15.44, but he cleared 4.70m in the pole vault and then launched the javelin out to a massive 78.20m. In the end, that throw proved crucial and he went on to take gold with a total of 8002 points, which smashed Australia’s Cedric Dubler’s previous world youth best of 7864. In the javelin final he threw another 78.05m. to get silver in this single event!
4. In the polevault silver medallist Malykhin (UKR) borrowed poles from the German team. He improved his PB by 30cm, thanks to sportmenship! On Twitter Sergey Bubka mentioned this as well

5. He managed to a new world record bare foot with the score of 7.657 points: With a jump over 1.90m without shoes HANS-CHRISTIAN HAUZENBERG! After winning the bronze medal for Estonia I asked Erki Nool " why without shoes"? “He likes to run without shoes and feels better to jump without spikes”, the Olympic champions said.
