Heat stress
Jeddah – The heat has caused the work hours of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development of Saudi Arabia (MHRSD), to change. For three months, the ban will be in effect from 12 noon to 3pm. The ban, which took effect on June 15, and will remain in force until September 15, is in effect. This law is applicable to all private sector institutions and companies, except those that are exempted from it.
The ban will be beneficial to approximately 27,40,000 contract workers, mostly in the country. Ahmed al-Rajhi (Minister of Human Resources and Social Development) stated that the ban on working outside in direct sunlight was intended to protect the safety and health private sector workers.
Het is, met andere woorden, heet.
