1.
Researchers in China have suggested that pangolins, mammals known as ‘scaly ant-eaters’, are the probable animal source of COVID-19, according to scientific journal Nature. The name pangolin comes from the Malay word pengguling, meaning "one who rolls up. Pangolins, or scaly anteaters, are mammals, of the order Pholidota (from ancient Greek "horny scale").

The oneextant family, Manidae, has three genera: Manis comprises the four species found in Asia, while Phataginus and Smutsia each include two species living in Sub-Saharan Africa. These species range in size from 30 to 100 cm (12 to 39 in). A number of extint pangolin species are also known.

Pangolins are nocturnal and have large, protective keratin scales covering their skin; they are the only known mammals with this feature

2. A pandemic is an epidemic occurring on a scale that crosses international boundaries, usually affecting a large number of people. Pandemics can also occur in important agricultural organisms (livestock, crop plants, fish, tree species) or in other organisms. A disease or condition is not a pandemic merely because it is widespread or kills many people; it must also be infectious.

Archaeological evidence suggests that pancakes were probably the earliest and most widespread cereal food eaten in prehistoric societies.
