iaaf wic 2010 fan zone Doha

DOHA, March 12, 2010 – HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, QOC Secretary General and Chairman of Organising Committee of the 13th IAAF World Indoor Championships inaugurated the Fan Zone Thursday.

The Fan Zone are includes cultural zone, sport activities, folkloric festivals zone, restaurants, cafeterias, and booths selling sports products.

A special pavilion for displaying the Qatari heritage to the foreign guests as well as shows for horses and camels.

Abdulrahman Al Dosari, Director of QOC Public Relations and Marketing Department, and Head of Marketing Committee of the event announced that the organizing committee has also allocated valuable prizes for visitors.

Al Dosari expects an attendance of 30,000 at the Fan Zone a day as the event is held at the weekend.

The Fan Zone also has designated pavilions for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Bid Committee, AFC Asian Cup 2011, Schools Olympic Program and others.

It will be open for spectators and families from 0900 am to 0900 pm
