Catalão is a small city and municipality located in the south of the state of Goiás, in Brazil. It is a large producer of grains, cattle, and phosphates and has a John Deere and Mitsubishi factory. This Mitsubishi company also supports local sports people to compete in their business team. Roberto is one of them and trains with me every afternoon in Uberlandia. But nobody calls him by his first name. No, to everybody he is known as Catalao.
Last weekend he was very succesfull with a win in the high hurdles and bronze in long jump and high jump. The next training he showed his medals to me and was very proud. It made me happy: to see somebody being grateful and proud.
