In both bike and run segments, the athlete may use approved prosthesis or other supportive devices..

De Nederlander Sjaak van den Berg kwam als eerste in actie dit weekend. Hij haalde een keurige achtste plek (categorie PT4) op de Copacabana. Het was heerlijk weer en de zee was kalm met een temperatuur van 22 graden bij de start was het goed te doen. Leuke foto's gemaakt (door de Heus-bril). Vanmiddag zijn er nog meerdere starts voor diverse categorie. Op het parcours liep het nog niet allemaal vlotjes. Dus goed dat dit een test is. De bocht op de boulevard voor de fietsers is aan de krappe kant en geen uitwijk, ben bang dat er nog wel 1 of 2 in de dranghekken klappen.
