Rising track star Noor Al Malki, 100 and 200 metre athlete ("Sport Athlete" for the 2010-2011 and GCC champion) is eager to represent Qatar at the London Olympics. She is one of the few female athletes in Qatar who may be selected to compete this summer. That would be a big step formward for woman sports in the Middle East, since there where no woman competing in the past Olympics for Qatar so far. Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Brunei have never sent women athletes to any Olympics.
