Terceiro dia Troféu Brasil Caixa de Atletismo 2015

at the indoor warm up track.

The third day Powerade team had only one athlete in the morning session. Kerinde Hilario de Souza Brites da Silva in the decathlon. With high hurdles and discus throw on the program and expecting season best because of good training sessions it was a bit disappointing for Kerinde to score just 15"43 and 31.33 = 1289 points. The 7000 points were out of sight after this and when the sun went down cold settled in as well good results were gone as well. 6663 and 12th place in the end.
Dandadeua Asteria de Souza Brites da Silva went flat out over the first four hurdles and just lost a bit of momentum on hurdle five to finish strong in a personal best time 59"82 seconds. With this she qualified for the final in Sunday morning.
Gabriel Oliveira Constantino also qualified for the final. In the high hurdles he ran again under 14 seconds with 13"98.
Powerade head coach Gerard Lenting was satisfied afterwards. "Good progress within the decathlon for Kerinde. Just need to improve his individual marks to get a 7000 in. The hurdles were good. Danda had her best race so far and Gabriel was handling the rhythm ok. Both have to step up to get medal but it is possible", Lenting added.

Other results:
