Qatar Youth athletes confidently showed remarkable debut and clinched number of medals at the closing day of 13th edition of Arab Youth Athletic Championship which concluded in Tunisia.



Qatar’s sprinter Charles Bit Koksh successfully finished first seizing gold medal in 5000 m race, within 15.06.98 minutes, as his compatriot Mohammed Ahmed Al Manaei clinched gold medal after securing first place in 10 events (Oshari) competition with total of 6619 points.



On other hand, Qatar's Salman Ahmed Al Manaei finished second clinching silver medal in high jump event, as Qatar's Jaber Jassim Al Mohanndi, got bronze medal in Javelin throw event.



In 400 X 4 m relay, Qatar team consisted of Jamal Hisi, Abobeker Al Haj, Salman Ahmed and Musab Balah secured the third place and bronze within 3.15.36 minute.



These wins raised Qatar's medals tally to 10 on the sixth place of championship general standings.



Mr. Dahlan Gomaan Al Hamad - President of Qatar Association of Athletics Federation (QAAF) has congratulated Qatar high officials on the achievements secured by Qatar Youth Athletics team in the 13th edition of Arab Youth Athletic Championship in Tunisia. " Youth stage is a period of achievements, we participated in the championship with team consisted of juniors and Youth who honorably obtained fantastic results, Sheikha Al Dosari's bronze medal in Javelin throw at first participation in such an international event is confirming that we are on correct track" said Al Hamad
