kerk in Qatar

HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani believes that religions are for promoting peace, love and understanding, HE the Deputy Premier and Minister of Energy and Industry, Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah said yesterday.
“HH the Emir is sending a message of love to all of you,” he told hundreds of faithful from 28 Indian Christian denominations after inaugurating the Inter Denominational Christian Church complex at Mesaimeer.
Al-Attiyah recalled that the Emir had given instructions to create an area for churches and gave land because of his belief that religions are not for conflict, but for love.
“I am here carrying the message from HH the Emir and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani that religions should create a bridge of peace, love and understanding,” the Deputy Premier reiterated.
Observing that one should not react emotionally based on religion, al-Attiyah urged all the residents of Qatar to concentrate on hard work and how to improve themselves and respect the laws of this peaceful country.
Talking to Gulf Times later on the sidelines of the inaugural ceremony, the Deputy Premier referred to the fact that the world is full of religions and maintained that all should live together in peace.
Earlier in his speech, al-Attiyah also expressed happiness in returning to Mesaimeer where he inaugurated the first church in Qatar, The Our Lady of Rosary Catholic Church, in March last year
