Children in traditional Qatari attire go around their neighbourhood in the Najma area of Doha yesterday on the occasion of the Garangao festival. Children sing songs and collect gifts during the festival, which is celebrated in Qatar on the 14th day of Ramadan. It has its roots in the country’s pearling days.
