DOHA: A fire broke out in the seating areas in the western part of Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex at 7.30pm yesterday.
The Civil Defence Department rushed firefighters to the site immediately and they controlled the blaze and prevented it from spreading to other areas nearby.
No casualties were reported. However, the ceiling of the affected seating areas was damaged.
Investigations have been launched by the Qatar National Olympic Committee and the police to find out the cause of the fire
