Six Qataris killed in road accident
Vier leden van het nationale atletiek team van Qatar zijn eergisteren omgekomen bij een verkeersongeval. De bestuurder verloor bij hoge snelheid de macht over het stuur van de Land Cruiser op een slecht stuk weg in de buurt van Doha.
Onder de overledenen Al Dosari (100-200m.) die goed presteerde op de WYC in Marokko eerder dit jaar en verbrak het Aziatische jeugdrecord op de 200m : 21"51. Enkele weken terug maakte hij deel uit van de gouden 4 x 4 op de West Asian games in Doha. Onder hen ook Al Khatir en talentvolle hordenloper.

Hamad Kifah Al Dosari, a noted athlete, who died in the accident on the Al Shamal road on Monday.
DOHA: Six young Qataris, including a noted athlete Hamad Kifah Al Dosari, were killed in a road accident that occurred on the Al Shamal road on Monday at around 7pm.
The victims were aged 16 to 20 years. The Toyota Land Cruiser they were traveling overturned near the Al Huwaila diversion on the way to Al Shamal, Al Sharq reported yesterday.
Four of the victims died on the spot while two succumbed to their injuries later at the Accidents and Emergency department of the Hamad General Hospital
The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Eid Aman Al Khater, a friend of Al Dosari, Ali Al Khalji, Badr Al Rayashi and Saud Abdullah Mansour.
The sixth victim was not identified. The bodies were buried at the Abou Hamour cemetery in the presence of friends and relatives, aggrieved by the ghastly incident.
