HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad (talking to the press after a presentation from the Qatari team) stressed that Qatar was determined to continue its efforts to host the Olympic Games “to realise the aspirations of the people of Qatar and the region’s nations”.
The Heir Apparent said the obstacles that had made the International Olympic Committee to set aside the Qatari bid for hosting the 2016 Games would be carefully studied.
“When these obstacles are removed and after co-ordination with the executive office of the International Olympic Committee, we will bid for hosting the Olympic Games in 2020 as per set measures and standards,” HH the Heir Apparent noted. – QNA
