Doha • Serbian tennis stars Ana Ivanovic (pictured) and Jelena Jankovic have booked their places at the prestigious season-ending WTA Tour Sony Ericsson Championships to be held in Doha in November.

Ivanovic and Jankovic, the world's top two players, in that order, will take part in what is the richest tennis event on the women's tour.

The event, to be held at the Khalifa Tennis Complex, carries a whopping prize bag of $4.5m. The tournament, to be contested by the world's top eight players, is to be held from November 4 to 9.
