Franks Snoeks wist niks te melden over de Qataris in de openingsceremonie. Niks over de vlaggendrager (Nasser Saleh Al Attiya schutter en ralleyrijder) en de man op de tribune ( de troonopvolger van de emir(Heir Apparent HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Than). Hij mistte ook de de sprintster van Bahrain de vlag droeg (winnares van het goud op 20m bij de asian games 2006 Ruqaya Al Ghasara)...................

Beijing, August 9, 2008—HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani-QOC Secretary General lead Qatar delegation during the march past during the Beijing Olympic Games' Opening Ceremony along side Nasser Al Attiyah who will participate in Shooting competitions.
The Qatari delegations participating in the games was no. 50 in the parade of the Beijing Olympic Games held at Bird Nest Stadium in Beijing, China.
