The organisers of Al Sharq, Al Arab and The Peninsula Shopping Festival have cancelled the entertainment programme which was to take place alongside the 4th and final draw tomorrow to express solidarity with the people of Gaza who have been subjected to Israeli attacks for the past 11 days.
The organisers have also decided to donate QR100,000 to support the people of Gaza. A cheque will be delivered through the Sheikh Eid Charity.
The fourth and final draw is scheduled to be held tomorrow at 7pm at the office of Al Arab Newspaper in Ras Abu Aboud. The draw is for two cars, Kia (Mohave- 4wd) and Kia (Optima-saloon). Eight cars have been separately allocated for winning coupons during the shopping festival which was launched in December 2008.
The prizes also comprise 30 electrical and electronic household items from LG. The total value of the prizes for the fourth draw is over QR500,000.
The one-month-long Al Sharq, Al Arab and The Peninsula Shopping Festival has witnessed notable turnout from outlets. The entertainment programme that was organised in the sidelines of the festival attracted many families.
