Silver for Erika Oliveira Lima

Last weekend was the XC championship for South America. One runner from CNT Uberlandia went there as well. Erika, a youngster in the middle distance squad from Luiz d'Oliveria, had to run a 6k for the first time. At the NC the juniors had to run two kilometres less.

The travel to the Paraguayan capital of Asunción had some hick ups but on Sunday she did a good job finishing in the top ten.

With three titles for Brazil and Peru each they were the top nations at this 26th South American Cross Country Championships. In the women juniors Brazil, with CNT Uberlandia runner Erika Oliveira Lima, got silver in the team event.
