Former Aspire colleague Fahad Thani is appointed by the Qatar Football Association (QFA) to assist the technical staff of the Qatar national team. Dutch coach Co Adriaanse was fired last week and the Serbian born Milovan Rajevac has now taken over. Adriaanse was not very succesfull in Qatar: not with al sadd and not now with the national team.
Fahad Thani has worked in Qatar with different clubs (Al Rayyan / Al Ahli) But I know him as a member in the technical staff for football at the Aspire Academy of Sports Excellence and sometimes I saw him on tv as an game anlysist.
It looks like QFA is reforming the structure and organization for football. Let's see what is happening next on the road to 2022. Hopefully some of my (dutch) friends will still play a major role in this developments.
