ASPIRE '95 and '92 teams produced fine performances in their matches against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.
The Dutch sides have been using the world-class facilities at the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence as a training camp.
Aspire '95 won both their matches against the AZ Alkmaar '96 team. The student athletes won 4-2 in the first game, and 6-1 in the second; reflecting their quality and ability to achieve good results against high-level European teams.
The visiting players praised the attacking approach of the Aspire teams.
Speaking about the two games, AZ Alkmaar Under-13 coach, Dennis Martin Haar said: "The first game was difficult for us because the students were tired following the long trip between Amsterdam and Doha, but generally it was a good game. The Aspire players were better in all areas of the pitch due to the age difference, and they deserved the victory."
Speaking about the Aspire Academy he added: "These really are very unique facilities. It is like a dream to find such a place in the heart of the desert. It's even more incredible because of the quality of the services provided to us."
The games between Aspire '92 and the AZ Alkmaar Under-17 side went along the same lines, with the home side winning 4-0 in the first game, and drawing 0-0 in the second. The Dutch side showed fine recovery in the second match and overcame the mistakes they committed in the first match.
Michael Hendrikus Cornelis Buskermolen, the AZ Alkmaar Under-17 coach said: "It is the first time we have played two games with only a day's break. We lost the first game as the Qatari team were better than us in all departments. Then we tried to recover and learn from our mistakes in the second game, and we came away with a goalless draw."
"I've never seen facilities like these at Aspire anywhere in the world. It is more than fantastic and I think that no-one will believe me in Holland when I tell them of the great academy. I have not even seen anything like this at the big European clubs I have visited."
