Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) signed National Sports Medicine Program agreement with Qatar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital (ASPETAR) on Monday.
The agreement aims at providing the best treatment and environmental services for athletes of Sports Federation and Clubs. HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Secretary General of QOC and Dr. Mohammad Ghanim Al Ali, the General Manager of ASPETAR signed the agreement. Dr. Mohammad Ghanim Al Ali ensured that the agreement aims at helping Qatari athletes to develop their abilities through offering the best medical services for them.
During the signing ceremony, HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Secretary General of QOC extended his appreciation to the officials of ASPETAR. Secretary General of QOC ensured that the program will include evaluating, monitoring, and saving the data of athletes in addition to supervising medical services being provided by Sports Federation and Clubs to the athletes. It worth mentioning that, the hospital meets international standards in its treatment of orthopaedic problems and athletic injuries and uses established best-practices and the latest technology to guide patients through rehabilitation to complete recovery. In 2008, ASPETAR was officially accredited as a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence.
