The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani received at the Emiri Diwan yesterday board chairmen of shareholding companies in the country. Talks during the meeting covered appropriate mechanisms for financing sports activities, charitable works as well as other activities held in the country.
It was agreed during the meeting that companies shall earmark 2.5 per cent of their net profits to finance the abovementioned activities, through a council that would look into allocations so that duplication would be avoided and contributions made previously can be organised.
