zand is meer dan zand
Eerst deze week een afvaardiging van de QAAF/QNOC op bezoek. In februari is er de Asian Indoor. Gisteren de IAAF + de rest want Qatar wil de WK indoor in 2010.
Zoals altijd is er wel iets wat aangepast moet worden.
Dus moeten er twee (pols/ver) bakken zijn oa.
Ook het zand was niet goed.............
Dus vanochtend werd me gevraagd of het zand uit de geschept kon worden. Waarom niet?
Even later komen 20 mannen binnen met schep, plastic en zakken. Dus toen alles was geinstalleerd werkten er tien, tien keken toe (twintig gele overalls) en vier ( in pantalon + shirt drie keer en 1 x witte jurk) hielden toezicht.
Ik hoop dat het nieuwe zand er vanmiddag ligt!
DOHA, November 7, 2007 – HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman, Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee met members of International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) at QOC building on Tuesday. These IAAF members have been deputed by IAAF to assess and evaluate Qatar's preparations for hosting the World Indoor Athletics Championship in year 2010.
HE Sheikh Saoud welcomed the delegation members visit to Qatar. The visiting members are Pierre Weiss Secretary General of IAAF, Hansjorg Wirz, President of European Athletic Association.
His Excellency hoped for the delegation success in the mission and hailed their enormous efforts executed for evaluating Qatari and Turkish preparations for hosting the World Championships. He added that Qatar is ready to host such big championships due to its experience in organizing big events. Also its wonderful sport infrastructure won warm applause from many elite athletes at world level.
The meeting was attended by Mr Dahalan Al Hamad, President of Qatar Association of Athletic Federation and Vice President of IAAF, Khalil Al Jabir, Director of QOC’ sport affairs department, Khalid Al Mir, Vice – President of Qatar Association of Athletic Federation, and Khalid Al Zeini, Secretary General of Qatar Association of Athletic Federation.
