Doha: The Ramadan moon was not sighted in Qatar and the moon sighting committee headed by Faisal bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud announced the beginning of the holy month based on information that it was sighted in a neighbouring country, said Al Sharq.
The committee has four members and they include Khalid Al Dirham, Hasan Al Kubaisi and Walid Hadi, apart from the chairman.
